Hey friends, old & new!!

This part of my page is dedicated to what I’m calling “Building the Backdrop.” I’ll be documenting our journey of buying land and building our dream home.

I’ve always wanted to build a home that truly reflects my taste and includes all the little things I’ve dreamed of. As a single mom, that dream sometimes felt out of reach — but starting my photography business gave me the chance to work toward making it a reality.

At the start of 2025, I set a goal: by Christmas, I wanted to own a piece of land. I didn’t care how big or small, I just wanted something of my own. I pushed myself in photography, filled my calendar with more weddings and sessions, and surpassed the goals I set.

This land isn’t just about a home — it’s the foundation for my business. I’ll be creating a studio inside the house, using the property as a natural backdrop, and expanding my photography in new ways.

Our family slogan is “Another Day, Another Dollar Well Spent” because I’m determined to build this dream home with as little lending as possible. With the support of this community, our social media presence, and a little income from YouTube, we’re making steady progress. We’ll even be selling handmade shirts that the boys and I will create together.
